one can easily compose a new document (word processor), presentation (slideshow), spreadsheet (data), form (for people to fill out), drawing (basically like paint). all of this done online. Google docs can also open any type of file type as well as can be opened by other programs.



it basically is set out as a Microsoft Word that everyone else is used to using, with the familiar tools making it easier.



it allows you to create your own folders and organise your documents by category, eg. by document files, or presentation files. or the google incorporated "starred". the left side tabs allow you to do this, based on what you would like to see.
