Field- A space allocated for a particular item of information,
Record- Composed of fields, each one contains one item of information.
File- Collection of information that has a name.
Query- A request for information from a database.
Databse- A collection of organised information stored in a system.
Report- Formatted and organised presentation of data.
DBMS (database management system)- A program which allows you store and modify the information a database.
Data Dictionary- Contains a list of all files in the database, the number of records in each file, and the names and types of each field.
Data Type- The different types of data. eg. texts are alphanumeric.
